Our story
A Leeds table,a Cantonese heart
Twenty-four hours before the duck reaches you
Good Cantonese food is a matter of patience. Our duck is air-dried for a full day and lacquered in maltose before it ever meets the oven. The dim sum baskets are filled by hand each morning, and the wok is kept screaming hot so every stir-fry carries that unmistakable smoky fragrance the Cantonese call wok hei.
We buy our vegetables from Leeds market traders, our pork from Yorkshire farms, and our soy, vinegars and dried seafood from the same Guangzhou suppliers the family has used for decades.
Find us on New Briggate, a few doors from Leeds Playhouse and the Grand Theatre — pre-theatre dinners are something of a speciality.
